"Great holiday, lovely cottage, beautiful weather - what more do you need!"
County Durham.
Glenview is a wonderful, traditional Highland home offering the perfect holiday retreat – from those who just want some peace, to families with dogs and children. With a large lawn and direct access to the sea, it offers privacy and seclusion, yet easy access to amenities. Local restuarants and pubs are within walking distance - Badachro Inn 1.3miles and the Shieldiag Lodge Hotel 0.9miles while Gairloch is a 10minute drive for supplies.
Having been completely renovated, it has all the modern comforts of constant hot water, a log burning stove and a fully renovated kitchen, combined with the lovely atmosphere of a traditional Highland croft. Glenview sleeps 5-6 people. There are 3 bedrooms: one double bedroom, one family room (twin beds plus extra bed) and a single room (that will fit an adult up to 5'8"). We provide travel cots and high chairs for the little ones.

Location/Garden
(For map see Directions)
The house is very private, sitting within two acres of ground, with direct access to the sea, leading onto a private beach, perfect for a BBQ or just to watch the wildlife. The lawn is large and a croquet set is at the ready for you to enjoy the slightly bumpy Highland version of the game!
Located in Leacnasaide, Badachro (near Gairloch), Glenview has an abundance of walks and wonderful wildlife on the doorstep. Glenview is within walking distance of two good restaurants. To the right along the single track road is our local pub/restaurant, The Badachro Inn (1.3 miles walk), for dinner and fine ales while sitting on the decking overlooking the sea. To the left (0.9 mile walk) is the Shieldaig Lodge Hotel, which provides a wonderful meal in the dining room overlooking the sea, watching seals and otters, as well as an impressive selection of whisky and gin in the bar. Both venues have absolutely stunning views.
There is also a Craft shop in Badachro called Latitude 57 which sells gifts with a nautical theme as well as ice-cream for the hungry walker. The town of Gairloch is about 10 minutes drive (5 miles) for your groceries.
